Man charged with murder in boy's death

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Marion County prosecutor charged Joshua Germany with the murder of 8-year-old Jeremiah Williams on Tuesday.
Prosecutor Carl Brizzi accuses Germany of shooting through the window of his estranged girlfriend's home last week. He also charged Germany with the attempted murder of his son Josiah and Namar Taylor.
Brizzi said this was not the first case filed against Germany.
"This woman, the mother, had several encounters with the criminal justice system with this boyfriend, with Joshua Germany", he said. "Several times cases had to be dismissed because she refused to cooperate, she refused to testify. And while we are not blaming her for what happened, certainly this needs to be a wake up call to victims of domestic violence."
Brizzi said law enforcement needs the help of victims of domestic violence in order to stop these cases.
Williams' funeral is scheduled for Tuesday.
